Meet your instructor
Isaac Marshman is the leading basketball skills development trainer in Brisbane. Unlike most, Isaac’s passion for basketball coaching started from the young age of 13 when he put his hand up to coach his school’s junior basketball team. He has always enjoyed understanding the intricacies of sport as much, if not more, than playing. As a young teenager, Isaac could often be found rewatching sports matches he’d recorded on VCR - he couldn’t just accept that a team had won or lost, he had to understand why they had won or lost.
From 2008-2019 Isaac followed his passion for coaching basketball by working with club, school and representative teams. Isaac’s coaching career pivoted when he volunteered to help out NBA skills coach Drew Hanlen at his Brisbane clinics in 2019. Isaac has always loved the tough, team oriented brand of basketball played in Australia but working closely with Coach Drew over that weekend, his eyes were opened to the lack of knowledge when it comes to individual player development across all levels of basketball down under.
Since 2019 Isaac has been working as a player development coach within multiple basketball academies in Brisbane. He has fine tuned his ability to improve basketball athletes from young beginners all the way up to pro’s in both individual and group settings by studying online, networking with other coaches and most importantly, putting the hours in on the court as a trainer. After three fantastic years within different academies, Isaac now shares his expertise under his own banner - ELEMENT Basketball
